Cub Family Camping

What-To-Bring Checklist  

The following is a list of outfitting supplies and other materials that we have found to be invaluable on a Cub Scout Family Campout. Assumed are a State Park setting, and communal meals

 

COMFORT

         Tent

         Hammer/hatchet

         Tarp (Ground cloth)

         Sleeping Bags & Camp Pillows

         Air Mattresses or Foam Pads

         Flashlights w/ Extra Batteries

         Camp Lantern, or Electric Light  (Optional)

         Folding Chairs

         Rake & Hammer

COOKING/DINING

         Eating Utensils (i.e. Disposable Knives,
Forks, Spoons, Plates, Cups, etc.) (Mandatory)

         Cooking Utensils (i.e. Pots, Pans, Spoons,
Spatulas, Knives, Coffee Pot, etc.)

         Charcoal Briquettes (& Starter)

         Food, Seasonings, Drink and Snacks

         Waterproof Matches (Mandatory)

         Camp Stove (Optional)

         Aluminum Foil

         Ice Chest (with Ice or Blue Ice)

         Dish Washing Pan & Detergent

         Water Jugs and/or Canteen

         Paper Towels

         Dish Towels

         Trash Bags

         Table Cover

 

HYGIENE / SAFETY / CLOTHING

         First Aid Kit

         Insect / Mosquito Repellent

         Sunscreen (SPF 30+)

         Toothbrush / Toothpaste

         Toilet Paper (and Other Personal Toiletries)

         Bath Soap & Shampoo

         Sunglasses

         Rain Gear/Poncho

         Clothes For ? Days with Towels

         Sweatshirt and/or Jacket (If needed)

 

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

         Books (Tree / Bird Identification or Other)

         Rope or Nylon Cord

         Duct Tape (might be considered mandatory)

         Extra Batteries

         Fan

         Tent Broom

         Games (No video games)

         Cub Scout Handbooks (Mandatory)

          Camera
