3rd Graders

September

October

Good Day Bears and Parents!

I apologize that it took so long to get up and running on our Bear web page.  My computer abilities are very limited!!!

We are so glad to have all of our new scouts and their families and look forward to a great year.

Our first campout is September 22nd at Fort Toulouse.  They do not take reservations.   Opening ceremony will be at 9:00 followed by our den time.  During den time, we will work on skits, go through bike maintenance and earn Bobcats for those who are ready.  If you have soccer or football games that day, try to get your children’s bikes to us for inspection and maintenance that morning or Friday night.  The Bike Rodeo will begin at 1:00.  The pack will provide a community hot dog and hamburger dinner around 6:00 followed by our campfire.  We ask each family to bring a dessert to share.  Sunday morning, we will have a community breakfast.  Each family should bring eggs, bacon etc.  You may also bring milk, juice, frozen biscuits, bread, cheese etc.  If you need help keeping it cold, talk to someone with a camper and we will take care of it.

In October, we will be camping at Gunter Hill on the 27th for our Halloween Campout.  You can make reservations online using the Links link above and going to Reserve America.  Their web site will be down from September 30th until October 17th so you might want to make reservations now.

We like our Scouts to wear their Class B uniforms to den meetings (first 3 Tuesdays each month) and campouts.  It allows us all to be in uniform and easily identifiable.  We wear our Class A’s for pack meetings (4th Tuesday) and special events.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Uniforms -- At the Orientation, Mr. David mentioned that we might not want to buy our uniforms for a few weeks. We will have the Class 'B' Uniforms available for $6. These are the bright yellow Tshirts that our cubs will wear to campouts and other functions.
